Position Summary:
MJ Daniels is actively seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist/Brake Press Operator to join our growing team in Johnstown, PA. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision work and can operate with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with CNC press brakes and a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual press brakes to bend and form metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders with a high degree of accuracy
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
- Make real-time machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and production efficiency
- Work with a variety of materials and thicknesses in a fabrication environment
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- 2 years of brake press experience preferred, with strong emphasis on CNC equipment
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication environments strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standards
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
