SUMMARY: Monitors and performs activities to support departmental objectives of a technical nature to help facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. The ability to recognize some manufacturing problems at early stages and with limited skill can analyze and propose counter measures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain files, arrange drawing files to expand for additional design changes, maintain drawing list both Customer and internal drawing (Drawing on file must match design change on list)
- Distribute Internal Design change & drawings, & file in Year-Month order.
- Enter New Part numbers in JDE, Production Control Error missing part for customer
- Create AHM BOM & PIS,
- Weight verification for IMDS issue to IMDS Administrator, update list to maintain record
- Update purchase order list (open to close) Monitor P.O. to ensure Trials are not missed
- Update drawing list
- Keep PO list for suppliers/vendors
- Maintain office supplies
- Update ECO of all purchased parts in JDE
- Distribution & File all PIS
- Process carry-over NM Purchase orders, pkg., proper labeling, & shipping
- Drawings from plotter must be folded, stamped with receive date, update drawing list of revision, issue drawing to Mgr. or Engineer.
- Mass changes to MRP (JDE) system of GL, Master planning family, etc.
- Review every 6 months set up of part numbers both purchase and manufactured parts in MRP system (JDE)
- Must have an understanding or develop an understanding of process flow of manufactured parts.
- Must be able to read and comprehend engineering drawing information, and apply to MRP system BOM per process of parts

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School or G.E.D. One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience in manufacturing processes and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to comprehend Design and Assembly from Engineering Drawings and Process Flows charts.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
