General Manager / Cheer Coach
Premier Cheer Facility – Maryland
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly motivated General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a premier all-star cheer facility in Maryland. This individual will play a key leadership role in building a positive culture, growing the program, developing athletes and coaches, and helping drive the long-term success of the business.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in competitive cheerleading who is equally comfortable managing operations, leading staff, and coaching athletes. Ownership/equity opportunities may be available as part of the compensation package for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Business Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the cheer facility
- Manage scheduling for classes, practices, private lessons, and events
- Assist with budgeting, financial performance, and membership growth
- Ensure the facility is clean, organized, safe, and professionally maintained
- Handle customer service issues and maintain strong relationships with athletes and parents
- Implement systems and processes to improve efficiency and retention
- Work closely with ownership on strategic growth initiatives
Staff Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage coaching and administrative staff
- Build a positive, team-oriented culture throughout the facility
- Conduct staff meetings and oversee coach development
- Hold staff accountable to performance expectations and professionalism
Coaching Responsibilities
- Coach all-star cheer teams at various levels
- Develop practice plans and athlete progression systems
- Choreograph or assist with routines and competition preparation
- Provide technical instruction in stunting, tumbling, jumps, and conditioning
- Attend competitions, camps, showcases, and events as needed
- Help create a positive, disciplined, and athlete-focused environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in all-star cheerleading leadership and coaching
- Strong knowledge of competitive cheer structure, athlete development, and program operations
- Experience managing teams, staff, or athletic programs preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- High energy, leadership mentality, and strong work ethic
- Ability to build relationships with athletes, parents, and staff
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by the cheer industry
