Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning to maintain spotless environments.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, mops, buffers, and other janitorial tools.
- Follow safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during chemical handling and manual handling activities.
- Assist with sanitation of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal spaces.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial experience within hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care products, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to safety protocols and SDS guidelines.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Competence in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and industrial cleaning tools.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety practices related to chemical handling and heavy lifting.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
