Commissioned Massage Therapist ~ Mill Falls Resort Collection at the Lake
The massage therapist is responsible for providing various services to clients as stated in the spa menu in accordance with the protocols for individual treatments. Also responsible for ensuring the treatment room is clean and kept up to universal spa industry sanitation standards.
Complies with all guest service basics, such as uniforms, name tags, and proper guest greetings. Knowledgeable about hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate. Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand, and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices, and regulations. Strive to exceed guest expectations with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.
- Schedule: Begin and end all treatments on time.
- Be punctual ~Plan on arriving at least 15 minutes before your first appointment.
- Check your schedule and plan your day and prepare all necessary product set-ups for treatments.
- Provide massage therapy and body treatment services to spa guests.
- Must maintain high professional standards of service, appearance, and behavior.
- Have complete knowledge of all spa services, packages, promotions, and retail products offered by the spa.
- Understand and use universal precautions to comply with state sanitation guidelines.
- Keep work areas clean and set according to procedures.
- Have knowledge of and suggest to guest's other beneficial treatments offered in the spa.
- Know ingredients of products and what they do.
- Use products as directed.
- Educate guests about products used and recommend products for home use.
- Stock treatment room daily.
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings and participate in outreach programs as necessary.
- Attend all product knowledge trainings.
- Be a guest advocate for Mill Falls at the Lake.
The Company may consider an equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience, providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities cited below.
Education and Experience: Must hold a current NH State license—a minimum of 1 year experience in the medical, salon, or spa industry. Current CPR certification is required to obtain original or if license should lapse. High school education or equivalent experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of guest services and retail inventory. Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination· Must meet the physical requirements of being able to perform massage techniques, including but not limited to standing, bending, and fluid use of arms and hands utilized to perform necessary body work. Work is normally performed in an interior hotel environment.
