Radiology Receptionist

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, and reliable individual to fill a Float Receptionist position in our Radiology Department assisting with scheduling, patient admissions, authorizations, and fielding phone calls. This position will also also float to assist other additional business office needs/ departments. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment with orthopedics, neurosurgery (adult and some pediatric) and ENT patients. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Responsibility:

· Perform scheduling duties with consistency and accuracy

· Assemble patient charts

· Register patients and their information into the EMR (electronic medical record)

· Collect and enter physician procedure orders and equipment requests

· Process patient address and insurance changes as needed

· Keep medical staff informed of pertinent information and changes

· Assist Business Office and Credentialing Manager with projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a receptionist in a medical setting preferred

· Ability to type 45 WPM

· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently, push/pull up to 25 lbs frequently; frequent standing, bending, stooping, and repetitive motion to hands/wrists
