Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:
Design, develop, modify, or evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, or systems related to Microsoft technologies. Research, design, develop, test, or monitor the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems that support Microsoft technologies. Develop test plans in the preparation and execution of design testing or prototype fabrication. Analyze designs and devices to establish operating parameters, conduct experimental tests through both simulation and physical evaluation, and perform analyses on data generated from test results to verify and validate whether operating parameters are met. Identify root causes for technical issues, flaws, and design challenges, and develop and implement solutions. May select device materials and components based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May generate documentation related to designs, including development status, technical specifications, functionality, materials, compatibility with other devices, and testing procedures. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within the same geographic area as assigned Microsoft office location.
Minimum Requirements
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- EXPERIENCE: Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience designing and testing computer hardware.
- SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires three years of experience with power delivery network design and validation and power management IC parametric validation and analysis; two years of experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon and Intel SOC -based hardware development and power architecture, power circuit design and analysis, power integrity solutions, and electrical issue debugging; and one year of experience with schematics design using electrical CAD.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (TSBRT18310) in Redmond, Washington, is $177,312 to $207,312.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
