Design and develop local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN), and facilitate network implementation. Create network design documentation and collaborates with cross functional teams to facilitate the deployment and development of data centers or network sites. Test, analyze, and validate network designs, hardware, and telemetry data to identify issues. Develop, utilize, or advocate for the adoption of automated testing and validation procedures. Suggest improvements to network devices, firmware, or configurations to increase efficiency, improve performance, reduce operational burden, minimize human error, and prevent bugs or service interruptions. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more, but less than 100% per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
Minimum Requirements
-Education: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
-Experience: 24 months of experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
-Specific Skills: This position requires 24 months of experience in each of the following: Git; Python; Cisco, Juniper, or Arista; Network Troubleshooting and Cloud Network Troubleshooting; BGP and OSPF; Ethernet Protocols; and Network Designing and Implementation.
-Telecommuting permitted 50% or more, but less than 100% per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (EG6112661), in Redmond, WA, is $155,925 to $185,925 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location.
