Job Description
- Oversee all onsite construction activities from project start through completion
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure productivity and quality standards
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and coordinate daily field operations
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work aligns with plans, specs, and quality expectations
- Collaborate with Project Managers to address RFIs, change orders, and project challenges
- Lead onsite meetings with subcontractors, owners, and stakeholders
- Track project progress and proactively identify and resolve delays or issues
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, site logs, and progress photos
- Ensure strong communication between field teams, office staff, and clients
The Successful Applicant
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent within a General Contractor environment
- Proven track record managing commercial construction projects (e.g., healthcare, education, industrial, or retail)
- Strong leadership ability with experience coordinating multiple subcontractors simultaneously
- Deep understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc. preferred)
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
