Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Superintendent located in Lebanon/Altoona, PA. The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day onsite construction operations for VA projects, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising construction crews, liaising with subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, creating and managing project schedules, and conducting quality inspections. Collaboration with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively and maintain clear communication is key to this role.
Qualifications
- Construction management skills, including project scheduling, site supervision, and an understanding of communication and relationship management with government entities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, compliance regulations, submittal/RFI/documentation and quality assurance practices
- Ability to effectively communicate with construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using construction management software and basic computer applications
- Experience with a range of projects, including residential, commercial, or industrial construction, is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar leadership role is strongly preferred.
