The Manufacturing Engineer III is responsible for driving process improvements, optimizing manufacturing operations, and supporting new product introduction within a fast-paced production environment. This role serves as a technical leader on the manufacturing floor, partnering with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and product quality.

Description

• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for polymer production and related operations.
• Support new product launches by developing manufacturing methods, tooling, and work instructions.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency, yield, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, process flows, and manufacturing specifications.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and production performance.
• Evaluate and implement capital equipment, tooling, and automation projects.
• Train and mentor manufacturing personnel on process improvements, best practices, and technical procedures.

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting polymer, plastics, extrusion, molding, chemical processing, or related manufacturing operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with root cause analysis, statistical process control, and process validation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing data analysis tools.
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a production-focused environment.
• Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with automation, controls, or capital equipment projects.
• Knowledge of DOE, PFMEA, Control Plans, and quality management systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects.
• Must be able to work in an ITAR environment
