Job Description
- Lead large-scale, complex projects through all phases of design and construction serving as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic leadership in the Design/Build process, aligning design intent with constructability, schedule, and budget.
- Establish and drive project vision, planning, and execution, ensuring accountability across the entire project team.
- Mentor and develop team members through hands-on coaching, technical guidance, and professional development support.
- Oversee and contribute to the development of high-quality construction documents, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with preconstruction and construction teams to identify value-driven solutions that enhance project outcomes.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project phases.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, reinforcing ABEL's commitment to partnership and long-term success.
The Successful Applicant
- Professional architectural degree with active KY licensure OR architecturally related bachelor's degree with equivalent experience leading to licensure in the United States
- 8 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a licensed architect
- Demonstrated experience leading projects as a Senior Project Architect or Project Manager from concept through construction administration
- Advanced proficiency in Revit (5 years preferred) and working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Experience working in a Design-Build environment preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Location: This position requires the candidate to work on-site in the Louisville, KY area.
