Job Description
- Manage all U.S. leave programs (FMLA, ADA, disability, workers' comp, parental leave, statutory leaves) and ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Advise employees, managers, and HR partners on leave eligibility, processes, timelines, and policy interpretation.
- Oversee vendor management, including relationship oversight with the firm's leave and disability administrator.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide performance direction for the HR Policy & Leave Specialist.
- Maintain and update leave‑related policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support ADA interactive process and complex case resolution requiring judgment and precedent setting.
- Ensure accurate leave tracking and serve as backup for Workday leave entries and record maintenance.
- Prepare and deliver leave‑related reporting packs for leadership and benefits stakeholders.
- Support ongoing leave education, communication campaigns, and training opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements to processes, policies, and leave programs.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful HR Leave Administration Manager Should Have
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 7 years HR/benefits experience, including 3 years managing leave administration.
- Leave of Absence subject-matter expert.
- Strong knowledge of leave laws, including FMLA and ADA, and their application in the workplace.
- Positive role model and mentor with experience supervising staff.
- Workday experience required.
- Vendor management experience required.
- Professional services experience preferred (large, multi‑office organizations).
- Exceptional communication, judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
