Job Description
Hiring Need / Day to Day:Due to continued growth and an expanding backlog of work, our client is seeking an experienced Sitework Superintendent to oversee field operations on a variety of civil construction projects throughout the region.
Responsibilities
The Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating labor and equipment resources, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely and according to contract specifications.Responsibilities:
- Manage daily field operations for sitework and civil construction projects.
- Oversee activities including earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, storm drainage, paving, and site improvements.
- Coordinate and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Monitor workforce productivity, equipment utilization, and project progress.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
- Coordinate project logistics, deliveries, inspections, and permitting requirements.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, engineers, and inspectors.
- Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing schedule impacts.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and project documentation.
- Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all phases of construction.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or field leadership professional in heavy civil or sitework construction.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, earthwork, utility installation, paving, and overall site development operations.
- Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven experience managing crews, subcontractors, and multiple project activities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements and construction best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, municipal, or public infrastructure projects preferred.
- Proficiency with project documentation, scheduling, and reporting tools is a plus.
- Annual salary ranging from $140,000 to $170,000 USD.
