Responsibilities
Job Description
- Manage daily field activities on environmental and civil construction projects.
- Coordinate and supervise company crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and project-specific requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Coordinate work with project managers, engineers, owners, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, and project costs.
- Review project plans, specifications, permits, and contract documents.
- Track quantities, field reports, daily logs, and project documentation.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays.
- Ensure quality control standards are met throughout project execution.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications
- 5 years of superintendent experience within civil construction, environmental remediation, utility, heavy highway, or site development projects.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utilities, demolition, earthwork, and environmental construction practices.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and field personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout New Jersey.

- Competitive base salary: $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
