Description
The Senior Superintendent - Historic Preservation - Sterling, VA will be responsible for:
- Serve as the Lead Superintendent on a $20M historic preservation project with a 12-18 month duration
- Oversee all day-to-day field operations, including scheduling, safety, quality, and subcontractor coordination
- Manage work involving historic restoration, exterior façade, scaffolding, and sensitive site logistics
- Coordinate closely with project management, owners, inspectors, and government stakeholders
- Maintain site documentation using Procore, scheduling tools, and daily reporting
- Ensure compliance with all federal, local, and site-specific security requirements
- Support occasional night or off-hour work as required by project constraints
Profile
A successful Senior Superintendent - Historic Preservation - Sterling, VA should have:
- 7 years of progressive experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
- Demonstrated experience leading $20M-$25M projects from start to finish
- Strong background in historic preservation, restoration, government, or institutional work
- Experience with new construction and renovation (minimum of 3 new construction projects preferred)
- Proficiency with Procore, P6, and Excel
- Background in skilled trades and/or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Ability to pass a background check and AOC badging; active clearances are a plus
