Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting activities for active commercial construction projects.
- Process project-related and administrative invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and process AIA billings and support project billing cycles.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and financial subledgers.
- Maintain accurate project financial records and general ledger information.
- Coordinate subcontractor invoicing and payment documentation.
- Support project teams by providing financial reporting and accounting insights.
- Assist with accounts payable functions and high-volume invoice processing.
- Conduct system and financial audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Support month-end, year-end audit activities, and tax preparation efforts.
- Partner with finance leadership to improve accounting processes and controls.
- Help ensure the smooth transition of responsibilities during a key organisational succession.

The Successful Applicant
Requirements to Apply
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Construction project accounting experience required.
- Experience supporting commercial construction projects preferred.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles is highly desirable.
- Experience with AIA billing processes.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and invoice processing.
- Experience performing account reconciliations and maintaining financial records.
- Proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor or similar accounting software.
- Experience using Procore is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- CPA designation is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with a high level of integrity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and finance professionals.
