An established general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex public-sector construction projects across Central Ohio. This role is critical to improving project controls, documentation, and delivery standards as the business continues to scale.

Client Details

This is a fourth-generation, family-owned general contractor with a long-standing reputation in the Midwest. The business has grown rapidly in recent years, employs around 120 people, and delivers work across municipal, federal, healthcare, education, and light industrial sectors, all within a local footprint.

Description

  • Lead public and institutional construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own schedules, pay applications, change orders, and contract compliance
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and internal field teams
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and documentation standards
  • Act as the primary point of contact for owners and stakeholders

Profile

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • 5-10 years of commercial construction project management experience
  • 3 years delivering public or government-funded projects
  • Strong understanding of contracts, compliance, and project controls
  • Background with a general contractor (not a CM agent)
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable in a family-led culture

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from USD 100.000 to USD 130.000 annually.
  • Company vehicle and gas card, laptop with aircard, $80/month phone allowance
