Job Description

The Superintendent is responsible for:

• Overseeing & managing Large Public Academic projects from start through completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
• Developing and leading high performing teams Providing administrative & technical support by directing the team
• Ensuring high-quality, safe, and clean work that meets projects schedules and budgets
• Coordinating & collaborating with necessary project parties
• Leading site personnel, providing guidance to ensure the highest levels of safety, productivity, and performance
• Developing relationships with clients, and maintaining open lines of communication
• Managing project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, daily logs, and progress reports
• Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
• Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all individuals involved in the project
• Upholding company image / professionalism

The Successful Applicant

The Right Candidate Has The Following Qualifications

• 5 years experience as a Superintendent with a GC
• Strong background in ground-up commercial work along the lines of (Healthcare, public, K-12, Higher-Ed)
• Very comfortable running projects $15M-$60M start to finish
• Commutable to RI area
• Thorough understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, construction means and method, materials, survey methods & overall construction planning and cost control
• Knowledge of construction planning and cost control
• Ability to implement Lean construction principles
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred
