This role is well suited for someone who is confident managing schedules, collaborating with field teams, and driving projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Our client is a highly respected regional general contractor with nearly three decades of experience delivering new construction and renovation projects throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, and upstate New York. With a team of roughly 130 employees, they operate with a strong employee‑first philosophy-something proven by an average employee tenure of 8 years.
The firm provides general contracting, design‑build, and green building services and is active across a wide range of markets including multifamily residential, healthcare, higher education, K‑12, hospitality, municipal, and commercial construction. Project values typically range from $1M to $50M.
Description
- Manage construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Take ownership of project scheduling, including creating, maintaining, and updating detailed schedules
- Oversee budgets, cost controls, and subcontractor coordination
- Lead communication with owners, designers, and internal stakeholders
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and change management
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards
- Mentor and support junior project team members

Profile
A successful Project Manager - Commercial & Multifamily should have:
- 5-10 years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
- Multifamily project experience highly preferred; strong commercial GC background also considered
- Demonstrated strength in construction scheduling (this is a key gap the team is looking to fill)
- Experience managing both new construction and renovation projects
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to job sites across Northern New England as needed
Office location flexibility:
This role can be based out of either a southern New Hampshire office or a northwestern Vermont office.
