Job Description
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain schedule, productivity, and coordination.
- Coordinate construction sequencing including wood framing, MEP rough-ins, and interior/exterior finishes.
- Assist a Lead Superintendent on larger-scale projects and contribute to planning, logistics, and execution.
- Support transition into managing larger projects in the $50M-$100M range over time.
- Enforce jobsite safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and local building codes.
- Monitor schedules, budgets, and field reports; proactively resolve conflicts and delays.
- Conduct inspections to ensure work meets drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Lead coordination meetings and maintain communication with project management and ownership.
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists

The Successful Applicant
A Successful Multifamily Superintendent Should Have
- 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up multifamily wood-frame projects.
- Proven experience delivering projects in the $20M-$30M range with full lifecycle exposure.
- Demonstrated readiness to grow into managing larger projects in the $50M-$100M range, with willingness to learn under a Lead Superintendent.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, building systems, and wood-frame methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on field presence.
- Strong track record in maintaining safety, quality, and schedule performance.
- Nice to Have: Expertise in at least one major scope - concrete, MEP systems, or exterior/façade construction.
- Competitive base salary of $140,000 - $160,000, aligned with upper-market NJ superintendent compensation.
