Job Description
- Develop manufacturing processes by analyzing product requirements; researching, designing, testing, and refining methods, equipment, and tooling; and collaborating with external equipment vendors
- Assess current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead process improvement initiatives, troubleshoot issues, and manage related projects
- Enhance manufacturing methods to drive cost savings, improve quality, and increase efficiency
- Create and present improvement plans, and oversee implementation, including training for team members
- Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes covering production flow, assembly techniques, and equipment selection
- Create and maintain detailed facility layouts, including equipment placement and workflow optimization
- Support new and revised product launches by setting objectives, coordinating implementation, training staff, and evaluating outcomes
- Develop procedures and processes to help achieve financial targets and production goals
- Establish efficient and effective workflow sequences
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to existing manufacturing challenges
- Design, source, and validate tools, fixtures, machinery, and equipment, ensuring cost justification for proposed solutions
- Conduct product and process analysis to improve cost efficiency, quality, safety, productivity, and training effectiveness
The Successful Applicant
- Experience with precision sheet metal fabrication
- Process improvement and continuous improvement experience
- Willingness to be hands-on, troubleshooting issues on the floor
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
- Bachelor's degree is preferred

- Base salary of $70k - $90k depending on experience
