Machine Maintenance sheet metal fabrication facility

Position Summary

Maintains and repairs equipment, machinery and building systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Perform routine inspections, respond to maintenance requests, and manage preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Performs preventative maintenance on all production equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of the equipment.

· Responsible for the effective management of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program for production equipment and machinery.

· Responsible for maintaining records of service cycles and all other maintenance tasks conducted through an effective Work Order system (Work performed, Spare Parts usage, Time taken, etc.)

· Responsible for the purchase and inventory of all maintenance supplies, hardware, tools, machine/building replacement parts, and existing equipment issued, or purchased by the Company.

· Coordinate with external contractors and outside service providers when necessary.

· Assists with necessary equipment and machinery repairs and installations in accordance with company requirements.

· Ensuring compliance of all company policies and OSHA rules while conducting work functions.

· Must be able to perform all other job-related functions assigned by the Company.

· Previous experience as a machine maintenance manager or similar role.

· Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.

· Problem-solving and organizational skills.

· Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, written correspondence, and materials such as schematics or drawings, written in English.

· Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.

· Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.

· Be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and preferably have experience with CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems) software.

Technical Skills

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and root cause analysis.
• Welding and basic fabrication skills preferred.

Equipment Experience

• CNC turret punch presses
• Laser cutting machines
• CNC press brakes
• Powder coating systems
• Air compressors, dust collection, and material handling equipment

Safety & Compliance

• Knowledge of OSHA standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Commitment to safe work practices and machine safety.

Core Competencies

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and CMMS experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.

Education & Qualifications

· Minimum of high school degree, diploma or GED equivalent qualification from a certified college, preferably with a Bachelors or Associates degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering

· 5 years related experience in general mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, computer software and relevant applications is necessary.
