Job Description

• Assists in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Measures quantities (take-offs) for materials, labor, and equipment
• Supports the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets
• Coordinates with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
• Helps compile bid documents and tender submissions
• Uses estimation software and Excel for data entry and cost tracking
• Identifies discrepancies in drawings and reports them to senior estimators
• Learns industry standards, construction methods, and materials
• Maintains organized records of estimates, quotes, and project data
• Works closely with senior estimators and project teams to develop skills

The Successful Applicant

• Strong attention to detail when working with numbers, quantities, and technical documents
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and civil engineering concepts
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications (or willingness to learn quickly)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and open to learning estimation software
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills to work with team members, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the construction and estimating field
• Reliable, proactive, and able to take direction from senior estimators
