Job Description
- Assists in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Measures quantities (take-offs) for materials, labor, and equipment
- Supports the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets
- Coordinates with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
- Helps compile bid documents and tender submissions
- Uses estimation software and Excel for data entry and cost tracking
- Identifies discrepancies in drawings and reports them to senior estimators
- Learns industry standards, construction methods, and materials
- Maintains organized records of estimates, quotes, and project data
- Works closely with senior estimators and project teams to develop skills
