Job Description
- Create and modify CMM and gauge inspection programs using 3D CAD models and part drawings for medium‑to‑high‑complexity components.
- Perform inspections using Zeiss/Calypso, MDI, and other metrology systems, supporting prove‑outs, GRRs, and correlation studies.
- Design operator prompts and guide workflows to help machine operators run accurate and consistent inspections.
- Provide mechanical inspection support for medium‑to‑high complexity components using a variety of precision measurement tools.
- Analyze CMM data, produce graphical reporting, and use SPC insights to support troubleshooting, machine adjustments, and drawing improvements.
- Support fixture design, continuous improvement initiatives, and the development of best practices for automated inspection.

The Successful Applicant
A Successful CMM Programmer Should Have
- 6 years of experience in quality, inspection, or CMM programming (industry experience flexible-medical/automotive/high‑volume preferred).
- Strong GD&T proficiency including true position, MMC, and symbol interpretation.
- Experience with any CMM software (Zeiss/Calypso can be taught).
- Basic CAD understanding; SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, and sometimes chaotic environment.
