Job Description
- Drive new business acquisition across the mobility ecosystem (EV, hybrid, specialty mobility, micro‑mobility, off‑highway, and related segments).
- Identify and engage OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, integrators, and strategic partners to grow market share.
- Develop and execute a market expansion strategy aligned with organizational revenue targets.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and close.
- Serve as a technical resource, understanding customer engineering requirements and collaborating with internal product, engineering, and operations teams.
- Forecast opportunities, maintain CRM accuracy, and report on pipeline development.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.
- Maintain deep understanding of mobility trends, competitive landscape, and customer use cases.

The Successful Applicant
Required Experience
A successful Business Development Manager (BDM) should have:
- 5 years of business development or technical sales experience within mobility, EV, automotive, or related advanced mobility markets.
- Proven track record of selling engineered components, systems, or technology‑driven solutions.
- Strong customer relationship‑building skills and experience engaging with OEM and Tier 1 stakeholders.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into actionable product or engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to support business development activities (typically 25-50%).
- Background in EV systems, vehicle electrification, propulsion, power electronics, or mobility‑related materials/components.
- Experience in high‑growth or early‑stage environments.
- Familiarity with mobility regulatory dynamics, reliability requirements, and supply chain considerations.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable operating with autonomy.
- Strong commercial intuition paired with technical understanding.
- Relationship‑focused with long‑term business‑building mindset.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, high‑growth, customer‑driven environment.
