Job Description
- Assist in managing daily project activities from precon through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations are met
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project documentation to keep all stakeholders aligned
- Support subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and project buyout
- Help review drawings, specifications, and scopes to identify constructability issues and maintain accuracy
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve field challenges and maintain smooth workflows
- Participate in site walks, owner/architect meetings, and progress reviews
- Contribute to project financials, including change orders, pay apps, forecasting, and cost tracking
- Uphold a collaborative, solutions‑oriented culture and serve as a reliable support resource to the project team
The Successful Applicant
- 1-3 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects with a general contractor
- Experience assisting on projects in the $1M-$20M range, preferably ground‑up or interior commercial work
- Understanding of construction documents, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and basic cost management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with owners, design teams, and field staff
- Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to commute to project sites primarily in Northern Virginia, with occasional DC/MD travel
