Mechanical Engineer for a growing manufacturing corporation in the Carrollton area. The Mechanical Engineer will support product design, development and manufacturing efforts for precision assemblies and sheet metal-based products. This role requires strong CAD skills, practical engineering judgment and the ability to take designs from concept through production.
This is a DIRECT HIRE and an IN-OFFICE position.
Company will assist with some relocation for the right candidate!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs
- Develop products from initial concept through production release
- Work with sheet metal, plastic & Machined parts and fabricated assemblies
- Support prototyping, testing and design validation activities
- Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to improve designs and resolve production issues
- Perform tolerance analysis and design reviews
- Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for field or production issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience with sheet metal and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards
- Experience in designing for manufacturability and assembly
- Hands-on prototyping or manufacturing experience preferred
- Familiarity with fabrication or production environments preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
