About Meyhouse
Meyhouse is a modern Turkish fine-dining restaurant group known for elevated cuisine, warm hospitality, and vibrant energy. We are opening our newest location in San Ramon and are building a passionate front-of-house team committed to excellence, consistency, and exceptional guest experience.
Position Summary
As a Food Runner at Meyhouse, you play a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and beautifully presented dishes reach our guests. You support both the kitchen and front-of-house teams by maintaining strong communication, attention to detail, and efficient service flow. You understand that speed, accuracy, and teamwork are essential to a great dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and with care
- Ensure all dishes are complete, properly presented, and meet Meyhouse standards
- Communicate clearly with kitchen, servers, and expo during service
- Assist with table maintenance, including clearing and pre-bussing as needed
- Support servers and assistant servers to maintain smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and expo area
- Assist with opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a food runner or expo in a reputable, high-volume restaurant
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for hospitality and guest service
Availability Requirements
- Open availability is required
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Team members are expected to work scheduled shifts as business needs require
Required Certifications
- Valid California Food Handler Certificate (or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive manual tasks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
