About Meyhouse
Meyhouse is a modern Turkish fine-dining restaurant group known for elevated cuisine, warm hospitality, and vibrant energy. We are opening our newest location in San Ramon and are building a passionate front-of-house team committed to excellence, consistency, and exceptional guest experience.
Position Summary
As a Bartender at Meyhouse, you play a vital role in creating memorable guest experiences. You are responsible for delivering expertly crafted beverages, maintaining a polished and efficient bar, and providing warm, professional hospitality. You understand the importance of consistency, teamwork, and attention to detail, and you take pride in building lasting guest relationships—one drink at a time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, attentive, and engaging service to all bar guests
- Prepare cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Meyhouse recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
- Follow all recipes, portioning, and presentation standards consistently
- Engage guests with strong product knowledge and professionalism
- Anticipate guest needs and communicate effectively with the team
- Work collaboratively with barbacks, servers, and management
- Complete opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service laws and procedures
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a reputable, high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for hospitality with a guest-first mindset
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
Availability Requirements
- Open availability is required
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Team members are expected to work scheduled shifts as business needs require
Required Certifications
- Valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid Food Handler Certificate (or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive manual tasks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
