What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Director of Growth position at Metric Bio?
Founding Director of Growth - Series A Digital Health (AI-powered)
We're partnering with a Series A digital health company building AI-powered financial infrastructure for independent healthcare practices. The product was built from the inside as their team spent months embedded in practices doing the work before writing a line of code. Now they're scaling, and they need someone to build the growth function from zero.
The role
This is a founding GTM marketing role with full ownership — strategy, execution, budget, and eventually headcount. You're not inheriting a playbook. You're writing it.
The company sells into independent practices and RCM-adjacent buyers. The sales motion is relationship-driven and trust-heavy — which means the growth function needs to build credibility at scale. Events, content, partnerships, and community are the primary channels.
What you'll own
- Growth strategy — where the company shows up, how often, and why
- Event-led GTM: RCM-focused workshops, roundtables, virtual AMAs, and hosted dinners
- Strategic partnerships with healthcare vendors, RCM consultants, and clinician associations
- Content programs that position the company as the credible voice in practice financial ops
- CRM infrastructure: attribution, inbound routing, pipeline reporting
- Scalable playbooks so the function grows with the team
- First growth hires as budget expands
Who fits
8–12 years in B2B marketing at early or growth-stage startups. You've owned GTM programs — not just campaigns — and you've built pipeline through ecosystem and field motion, not just paid channels. Healthcare or healthtech experience is a strong differentiator. RCM familiarity is a genuine edge.
You think in strategy but you execute hands-on. You've run events, built partner programs, and you know how to translate ecosystem activity into attributed pipeline.
