We are seeking a Program Support & Safety Coordinator for our client, located in Oak Park, IL. The ideal candidate would support community programs while ensuring safe, welcoming environments across multiple service areas including senior/youth programming, nutrition services, workshops, and special events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily program operations including registration, participant support, and event logistics
- Lead de-escalation and conflict resolution efforts to maintain positive, inclusive environments
- Monitor program spaces proactively to prevent and address safety issues
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, coordinating with public safety personnel when needed
- Provide customer service and connect participants to community resources
- Document incidents and maintain safety protocols per township policies
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED background check clearance
- 2 years safety monitoring experience required
- Community programs, social services, or facility support experience strongly preferred
- Proven conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse populations
- Customer service experience preferred
Salary : $20 - $25
