Schedules, coordinates, prepares, and facilitates a variety of meetings, including, but not limited to Family Engagement Meetings and Permanency Roundtable Staffings, as well as provide mediation services to children, youth, and families. Requires impartial facilitation/mediation, preparation, and coordination of meetings with all participants, maintaining a safe environment and working with families and invested parties as they plan together for the safety and well-being of children and youth in accordance with agency, state, and federal policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and laws. Provides coaching, training, and feedback regarding co-workers skills and processes. Utilizes automated systems; collects data; prepares written reports as needed. Position provides independent review and recommendations of quality improvement processes regarding service provision, service delivery, and service outcomes. Works well within a team, encourages values of the agency and a positive environment.

Schedules, coordinates, and prepares with families, family supports, staff from DHS, and staff from community agencies the family engagement process.
Facilitates various family meetings in a timely and thorough manner.
Assures that child safety and well-being are central to any and all decisions made within the family meetings.
Records family meeting attendance, takes notes during various meetings and prepares thorough and reliable written reports, ensuring that notes taken during the meeting are distributed to all the parties involved in the process.
Mediates conflict or dispute during the meeting/staffing process and facilitates positive outcomes and final decisions.
Creates a culturally respectful climate for the family meeting including locating easily accessible meeting sites for the families and service providers.
Assures that all decisions made during the family meetings is in concert with county policies and procedures and state, federal rules, regulations and statutes.
Offers a positive work environment and constructive feedback regarding application of facilitation and mediation skills to case managers to assist in their professional development; meeting jointly with the Social Caseworker and their Supervisor to report strengths and areas for improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required
**Education and Experience:**
A Bachelor's degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field (no substitution) and two (2) years professional case management experience obtained after the degree consisting of prior facilitation and mediation experience; or,
A Master's degree or higher in social work or human behavioral sciences field and one (1) year of professional case management experience obtained before or after the advanced degree consisting of prior facilitation and mediation experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) (desired)
Physical Requirements And Working Environment
This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
