Job Description:
Meridian Health Services is looking for an Intake Support Technician for our Women's Residential Unit. This person is responsible for admitting new patients, starting their admission paperwork, and searching of property and person during admission.
Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Starting rate is $15-$18/hour, based on experience, plus our essential staff is being paid an additional $3.40/hour when working on-site
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties):
1. Provide a “welcoming” experience and exceptional customer service to all who visit;
2. Answering incoming calls by greeting callers professionally;
3. Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues;
4. Comforting clients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions;
5. Notifying the appropriate department staff of new client arrivals;
6. Set-up new clients with admission paperwork and distribute copies as needed;
7. Take in drop-off property and mailed property, search, and distribute;
8. Responsible for pulling client money for medication, weekend and after-hour discharges, maintaining record of all client money, as well as maintaining client money in an organized and secure area ;
9. Complete a physical search of new clients, as well as urine drug screen;
10. Conduct thorough and accurate inventories of property of newly admitted clients;
11. Collect and record client co-pays with accuracy;
12. Assist with transportation of clients/property between the two (2) residential locations;
13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- One (1) to two (2) years office clerical experience.
- Working familiarity with various office machines.
Skills:
- Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to be diplomatic and cordial and conduct self in a professional and ethical manner.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to use MS Office and other computer applications.
- Ability to work with various personality types.
- Ability to read and use basic mathematics.
- Ability to work efficiently as directed with minimal errors.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
· Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly
