Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead day-to-day operations, foster team development, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities to support the opening and growth of new locations, making it ideal for someone looking to grow with a dynamic and expanding brand.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Support the General Manager in leading front-of-house staff, including training, coaching, and scheduling

Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth service during high-volume shifts, uphold brand standards, and manage daily floor operations

Guest Experience: Maintain a guest-first culture by engaging with diners, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring satisfaction

Administrative Duties: Assist with labor management, ordering, vendor coordination, and inventory

Support Beverage & Events: Collaborate with the bar team on promotions, menu rollouts, and private events

Culture & Accountability: Foster a positive and professional environment that aligns with Mercadito’s values of hospitality, integrity, and innovation
Qualifications

2 years of experience in a supervisory or AGM role, preferably in a high-volume, full-service restaurant

Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and guest relations

Knowledge of food and beverage operations, especially tequila/mezcal-forward programs

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 (commensurate with experience)
