In this role, you will take ownership of engagements from initial planning through to completion, ensuring adherence to professional standards and deadlines. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams, helping to deliver insights, strengthen relationships, and support the ongoing development of staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead several audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Plan audit strategies, assess risk areas, and oversee fieldwork execution
- Review audit files, financial statements, and related documentation for compliance and accuracy
- Serve as a key contact for clients, responding to queries and addressing issues in a timely manner
- Guide and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development
- Provide practical recommendations to enhance client processes and controls
- Contribute to proposals and other initiatives aimed at expanding client relationships
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across different service areas
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory developments
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline
- Active CPA qualification (or equivalent)
- Around 5–7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit or assurance
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and auditing frameworks such as GAAS and PCAOB standards
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple engagements effectively
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising and developing team members
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Interest in using technology and data analytics to enhance audit quality
- Willingness to travel based on client and engagement needs
