Qualifications And Skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or enrollment in a training program leading to certification.
- Ability to complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing education credits.
- Experience in long-term care preferred.
- For applicable states, registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
- Possibly classified as a Category II Driver, requiring a valid driver’s license and medical qualification for driving duties.
- Provide basic nursing and personal care to residents.
- Assist with transfers, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
- Support residents’ nutritional needs and encourage participation in wellness activities.
- Document care and communicate changes to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
