- Serve as a caregiver, delivering resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily activities under RN supervision.
- Provide age-appropriate care addressing physical and psychological needs, following care plans and infection control policies.
- Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital sign recording.
- Support residents with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises.
- Contribute to meal preparation, assist residents during meals, and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Document resident interactions, communicate changes in condition, and assist with non-invasive specimen collection.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean environment.
- Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities, and support departmental initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16.
- Current CNA certification or enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months.
- Completion of yearly competency testing and ongoing continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
- Ability to follow safety protocols, including PPE use and infection prevention.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and compassion for residents.
- Assist with resident care activities and documentation.
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition.
- Support residents' physical and emotional well-being.
- Participate in departmental activities and quality improvement efforts.
