What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Workers position at Memco?
MEMCO is hiring Concrete Laborers, Carpenters, Finishers and Foremen in the Eastover, SC area!

- Sched: M-F 7am-3:30pm
- ASAP Start!
- Laborers: $18/hr
- Carpenters/Finishers: $22/hr
- Foremen: $28/hr
*All positions must have valid ID and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
*Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including steel‑toe boots, hard hat, safety vest, gloves, and eye protection as required by the job site.
Laborer Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Assist crews with daily construction tasks as assigned
- Support installation activities by preparing materials, tools, and work areas
- Follow all safety procedures, attend daily safety meetings, and use required PPE
- Previous construction experience is preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors
Carpenter/Finisher Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Place, pour, and finish concrete on commercial and government job sites.
- Smooth, level, and finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
- Build, set, and remove forms for slabs, footings, walls, sidewalks, ramps, and other concrete work.
- Set grade and place rebar, embeds, and reinforcement as required by plans.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in concrete work (commercial or government projects preferred).
Foreman Responsibilities:
- Organize labor, equipment, and material needs for ongoing and upcoming work
- Lead daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) meetings and jobsite safety briefings
- Work closely with the Project Manager to forecast and plan work 2–3 weeks ahead
- Confirm all concrete and masonry work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and standards
Foreman Requirements:
- 2 years' experience in concrete and/or masonry
- Established experience managing construction teams and directing daily operations
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil construction plans
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience operating or overseeing use of concrete-related equipment (Skid steers, loaders, forklifts, telehandlers, etc.)
