Construction Project Manager – Land Development

Megatel Homes, one of the nation’s premier homebuilders, is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager – Land Development to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is essential in transforming raw land into thriving, buildable communities that include residential, commercial, and amenity-rich spaces.
As a Land Development Project Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of development projects—from planning and permitting to construction and final delivery—ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works under a Senior Project Construction Manager
- Lead all phases of land development, including planning, design, permitting, and construction
- Manage project budgets, schedules, quality control plans and project progress reports
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and government agencies
- Oversee site design elements such as grading, drainage, and utility layout
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal zoning, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Prepare and manage Change Orders, RFIs, pay applications, and inspection logs
- Use project management software to track progress and update schedules
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Resolve issues, delays, and emergencies that arise during the development process
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism throughout each project
- Orders necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Makes sure projects are aligned with agreed-upon plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficient in construction project management software
- Strong understanding of civil plans, public infrastructure, and utility coordination
- Excellent organizational, budgeting, and time-management skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Skilled in problem-solving and navigating regulatory environments
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land development or construction project management
- Experience with underground utilities, franchise utilities, and finished lot production
- OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training certification
- Construction Project Management certification preferred
