Job Summary
The Contract Manager supports the full contract lifecycle, serving as the primary point of entry for all contracting requests across the organization. This role manages simple contracts independently and partners with legal stakeholders on more complex agreements, ensuring contracts are compliant, well-coordinated, and efficiently executed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the centralized intake point for contract requests, assessing requirements and contract complexity.
- Partner with requestors to determine appropriate contract types, templates, and contracting approach.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, review, negotiation, execution, renewals, amendments, and archiving.
- Independently draft, review, and negotiate simple contracts; escalate complex contracts and legal questions to legal stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely reviews, approvals, and signatures.
- Ensure all contracts comply with organizational policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify contractual risks and ambiguities and escalate as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate contract records and documentation within contract management systems.
- Support process improvements and contract operations initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Legal Studies, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in contract management, including contract drafting and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of standard contract terms, legal concepts, and contract structures.
