Position Overview
Meest-America Inc. is seeking a highly experienced, results-driven, and commercially strategic Senior Freight Cargo Sales Executive for Cargo Sales and New Market Development, and to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen our cargo business across new global regions and industries.
This role offers the opportunity to build and grow a cargo sales division with direct visibility to executive leadership, while leveraging Meest-America's established global logistics network serving over 170 countries.
This role is designed for an accomplished freight forwarding, cargo sales, transportation sales, and international logistics professional with an established industry network and an active book of business. The ideal candidate will leverage existing client relationships to grow air freight, ocean freight, import/export, freight forwarding, and supply chain solutions, while identifying untapped markets beyond Meest-America's established core regions, including Poland, Ukraine, and CIS countries.
In addition to direct sales growth, this individual will serve as a strategic contributor, providing market intelligence, identifying emerging business opportunities, and helping shape expansion strategies aligned with the company’s long-term cargo growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
· Develop and grow freight forwarding, air freight, ocean freight, cargo transportation, and international logistics business through existing client relationships and new business acquisition.
· Identify opportunities to promote import/export services, supply chain solutions, and transportation services to prospective customers.
· Generate new business across multiple transportation modes including air, ocean, and multimodal freight solutions.
Market Expansion & Strategy
· Identify new trade lanes, industries, and opportunities for international freight forwarding, NVOCC services, cargo transportation, and supply chain expansion.
· Monitor industry developments in global logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, and import/export markets.
Collaboration & Client Management
- Work closely with Cargo Operations and internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and service delivery.
- Build strong long-term client relationships to support retention and revenue growth.
- Represent Meest-America at client meetings, networking events, and industry engagements as needed.
Reporting & Performance
- Maintain sales pipeline, forecasts, and business development reporting.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Consistently achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cargo sales, freight forwarding, air freight, ocean freight, transportation sales, logistics business development, supply chain solutions, or related commercial roles.
- Strong understanding of international logistics, freight forwarding, import/export operations, cargo transportation, NVOCC services, and global supply chain management.
- Demonstrated success in business development, account acquisition, territory growth, and strategic market expansion.
- Experience developing new markets and business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial, and highly results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
Preferred
· 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, cargo sales, transportation sales, international logistics, supply chain solutions, or import/export services.
· Existing book of business within air freight, ocean freight, NVOCC, freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, e-commerce logistics, or supply chain industries.
· Established network of shippers, importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, or logistics decision-makers.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- No WFH / Hybrid work setting (Office / Field-based role)
Compensation Structure
Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, plus performance-based profit-sharing with uncapped incentive potential.
