Position Overview
Meest-America Inc. is seeking a highly experienced, results-driven, and commercially strategic Senior Cargo Sales Executive (New Market Development) to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen our cargo business across new global regions and industries.
This role is designed for an accomplished cargo/logistics sales professional with an established industry network and an active book of business. The ideal candidate will leverage existing client relationships to expand cargo sales while identifying untapped markets beyond Meest-America’s established core regions, including Poland, Ukraine, and CIS countries.
In addition to direct sales growth, this individual will serve as a strategic contributor, providing market intelligence, identifying emerging business opportunities, and helping shape expansion strategies aligned with the company’s long-term cargo growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and grow cargo sales through existing client relationships and new business acquisition.
- Promote and upsell Meest-America’s cargo services to current and prospective customers.
- Build a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and strategic outreach.
- Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and close profitable business opportunities.
Market Expansion & Strategy
- Identify new regions, industries, trade lanes, and growth opportunities for cargo expansion.
- Provide strategic recommendations on market trends, competitive positioning, and service opportunities.
- Support leadership in developing scalable cargo growth strategies.
Collaboration & Client Management
- Work closely with Cargo Operations and internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and service delivery.
- Build strong long-term client relationships to support retention and revenue growth.
- Represent Meest-America at client meetings, networking events, and industry engagements as needed.
Reporting & Performance
- Maintain sales pipeline, forecasts, and business development reporting.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Consistently achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cargo sales, freight forwarding, logistics business development, or related commercial roles.
- Existing book of business with demonstrated success in generating revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of international cargo transportation, freight forwarding, and logistics operations.
- Experience developing new markets and business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial, and highly results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
Preferred
- 5 years of cargo / freight forwarding / logistics sales experience.
- Established professional network within the logistics industry.
- Experience with international cargo trade lanes also beyond Eastern Europe/CIS markets.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- No WFH / Hybrid work setting (Office / Field-based role)
