Medical Assistant - Sun City, AZ

Location: Sun City, AZ 85351
Pay Rate: $19-$23 per hour (Pay is dependent on experience)
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Sun City, Arizona. This position plays an important role in delivering preventive and relationship-based care while supporting patients throughout their healthcare experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, particularly in phlebotomy, and will be comfortable working collaboratively with providers and a diverse patient population.

• Conduct patient intake, including obtaining detailed medical histories and measuring and recording vital signs.
• Perform patient examinations and routine health screenings.
• Perform phlebotomy, with strong blood-drawing skills required.
• Actively listen to patients, assess their needs, and accurately report findings to the Primary Care Provider (PCP).
• Process patient phone messages, return calls, and effectively relay information between patients and physicians.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and perform basic first aid procedures within scope of practice.
• Utilize CPR skills when necessary.
• Provide health coaching and patient education to promote overall wellness and preventive care.
• Build positive relationships with patients through compassionate, attentive, and respectful interactions.
• Support a collaborative, team-based care environment focused on preventive care and strong patient-provider relationships.
• Accurately document patient information and clinical activities in the EMR.

• Medical Assistant Diploma required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience highly desired.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks or a similar EMR system.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, as well as other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and presentation software.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors, and market leadership.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, team-based care environment.
