About the Role
We are seeking a Nursing Program Dean to oversee academic operations, faculty leadership, clinical partnerships, accreditation, and student outcomes. This role is ideal for an experienced nursing education leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving programs through data, and creating an environment where faculty and students can thrive. You’ll join a long-tenured leadership team with significant institutional experience and work in a non-union faculty environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the nursing program, including faculty management, staffing, and day-to-day academic operations.
- Lead and support faculty while fostering a collaborative, empowering, and team-oriented culture.
- Oversee clinical rotation placements and maintain strong relationships with clinical partner facilities in collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator.
- Monitor nursing program outcomes, including NCLEX pass rates, ATI predictor performance, retention, and other key student success metrics.
- Use program data and assessment results to identify opportunities for continuous curriculum and operational improvement.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with institutional, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
- Lead accreditation activities, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts. The program currently maintains strong regional and program accreditation standing through 2031.
- Address and resolve student concerns and complaints while maintaining a student-focused approach.
- Evaluate program performance and develop strategic initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
- Partner with college leadership to identify opportunities for program growth and continued academic excellence.
- Recruit and hire a new Associate Dean, providing an opportunity to directly shape and expand the nursing leadership team.
Qualifications
- MSN required; doctoral degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a related field strongly preferred/required based on program requirements.
- Current Wisconsin RN license or eligibility.
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience with demonstrated clinical expertise.
- At least 3 years of college-level nursing education experience within the last 10 years.
Required Skills
- Experience with educational theory, instructional design, curriculum development, and academic leadership.
- Previous experience overseeing nursing program operations, faculty, or academic teams.
- Experience working with nursing program accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with ATI, NCLEX outcomes, and data-driven program assessment.
- Strong administrative, strategic planning, evaluation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to empower faculty while providing clear direction and accountability.
- Adaptability, self-awareness, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Pay range and compensation package
- $165K–$185K salary range
