🕒 Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
We are currently seeking a Collections Specialist to join a growing Long-Term Care Pharmacy organization in East Syracuse, NY! This is a great opportunity for individuals with collections, outbound calling, customer service, or account resolution experience looking to join a stable and collaborative office environment.
Previous healthcare or pharmacy collections experience is a plus, but not required — we are open to candidates with collections experience from a variety of industries!
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Must be available when the 2nd of the month falls on a weekend for month-end processing
- If a weekend day is worked, a weekday off will be provided
Responsibilities:
- Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and outstanding balances
- Maintain consistent follow-up with customers until accounts are resolved
- Negotiate payment resolutions and assist with account reconciliation
- Perform detailed account audits to verify balances and billing accuracy
- Research and provide invoices, account documentation, and supporting records upon request
- Maintain accurate documentation of all account activity, including phone calls, letters, payments, and account notes
- Identify and correct account discrepancies or billing errors
- Assist with month-end reporting and processing workflows
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports to track collections activity and account status
- Assist in preparing accounts for attorney referral when necessary
- Support additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous collections or outbound calling experience required
- Healthcare or pharmacy collections experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable handling professional phone outreach and account discussions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a close-knit team setting
- Proficient computer skills and experience with spreadsheets/reporting preferred
