Position Description
Required Education
• Degree: A BS degree in an Engineering curriculum that included Thermodynamics/Fluid Dynamics (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar).
• Experience Level: 5-7 years (internships count as experience).
Required Skills
• Good understanding of thermodynamic systems.
• Knowledge of instrumentation (thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, etc.) and how to apply them.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Soft/Physical Skills:
• High initiative.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to perform physical work (climb large machines, turn wrenches, etc.).
• Effective and safe use of hand tools.

• Devise sampling procedures and develop forms/instructions for recording quality/reliability data.
• Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production and test equipment.
• Write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
• Direct workers engaged in measuring/testing product and tabulating quality/reliability data.
• Plan, set up, execute tests; analyze and report results and recommendations.
• Oversee test setup and execution; take ownership of planning and delivering projects as capability is demonstrated.
