Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join a professional, patient-focused medical practice in Monroeville.
The position is ideal for someone who already understands the day-to-day responsibilities of a medical front office and can work confidently and independently with patients, insurance information and routine office tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally and provide excellent customer service
- Check patients in and out
- Verify and update patient demographics
- Verify insurance information and coverage
- Collect copays and other patient payments
- Maintain accurate patient and insurance information in the practice management system
- Answer and route telephone calls appropriately
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, staff and referring medical offices
- Assist with other routine front-office responsibilities as needed

- Working knowledge of medical insurance verification and patient demographics

- Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and electronic medical/practice-management systems
- Ability to work effectively in a small medical-office environment
