Responsibilities

  • Provide interim leadership for Health Information Management (HIM) operations, ensuring continuity of services, regulatory compliance, and team performance
  • Oversee MEDITECH HIM workflows including chart completion, coding, transcription, release of information, and deficiency management
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CMS requirements, maintaining data integrity, privacy, and audit readiness
  • Lead and support HIM staff, including staffing, performance management, process improvement, and training initiatives
  • Collaborate with clinical, revenue cycle, and IT teams to optimize MEDITECH functionality, improve documentation quality, and support operational goals
