Vaco has partnered withmission-driven, nonprofit organizationthat is in search of an experienced Interim Director of Finance to support finance operations during a leadership transition. This rolewill provide hands-on accounting andfinanceleadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong nonprofitexpertiseand the ability to lead the team in a hybrid environment.
Job Title: Interim Director of Finance
Location: Phoenix, AZ (hybrid - onsite Monday through Wednesday)
Pay Rate:$60 - $75 per hour DOE
Project Duration:3 months (potential contract-to-hire)
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee all U.S. finance and accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, payroll, treasury, and financial reporting
Lead and manage a team of accountants across the U.S.
Partner closely with leadership on financial reporting,complianceand U.S. GAAP adherence
Ensure compliance with donor restrictions, grants, and U.S. government funding requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPAlicensestrongly preferred
10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
Nonprofit experience strongly preferred

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
